We will cover the essential elements of Lockout/Energy Control and common pitfalls of programs; (energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections) as well as the Alternative Methods provision within the OSHA standard as well as newly updated ANSI Z-244.1 document. We will discuss some current best practices being used to ensure your program and procedures stay compliant and the training is up-to-date.
About the Speaker: Andrew Johnson, CSP: 20+years of occupational safety compliance experience with a core focus in the areas of Lockout/Energy Control, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, and Fall Protection. Partner and Projects Manager with Sotaris, LLP a safety consulting and training company for last 12 years. Assistant Administrator of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Consultants Practice Specialty and Treasurer of the Northern Ohio Chapter of ASSE.
Andrew has performed audits, developed programs, and provided safety training for various types of manufacturing plants, steel mills, water treatment facilities, and office building environments. He has been a guest speaker to numerous organizations including ASSE, NSC, Ohio BWC, and Cleveland Engineering Society. Andrew holds a CSP certification and is an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer.
